Default ($16) AQ c-bet?

Both player were a little loose, I have a tight image.



PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t50 (5 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t2965)
Hero (t1400)
Button (t5280)
SB (t1845)
BB (t2010)

Preflop: Hero is in CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I prefer checking here because you can't call a shove and you have the nut BDFD.

Agreed. You'd hate to get c/r'ed off your weak, but possibly still best, hand.

okay, if you dont want to c-bet here because you may get raised, and you cant stand a raise, then i can understand that
but not betting bc you have a backdoor draw is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard

the idea is that a heart on the turn isnt a bad card for you so you don't mind giving a free card.

Checking behind because of the backdoor draw is silly since you will be faced with a bet on the turn most of the time. You can't really call a bet on the turn, but you can bet the flop to A) try to pick up the pot now or B) get the turn checked to you to get a free river card

This is part of the reason I bet, if called I'm hoping it's checked to me on the turn, but if c/r I probably have to give it up.
