depends on where you live

if you're expecting normal to good housing...and don't mind the "extra work" involved with owning a house..then buy

However, if you hate doing house chores, or might move within the next 2-3 years or live in a declining market...then rent

This is true for the rest of Canada but is it still true for Toronto? The city has been trying to pass some sort of tax. I stopped following it so not sure what happened.
