Tommy is aware of this thread. Perhaps it will inspire him to finish quicker. (Yeah, right, like that's going to do it!)

clap clap clap

I'm anxious to see the finished product. I'm a selfish bastidge. Sue me.

*It's gonna be great.*

Rumor has it Tommy Angelo is going to have a show on Holdemradio after the book is done which I believe is in the very near future.

[/ QUOTE ]

You mean he'll be on with Dr. Al again? Or do you mean he'll have his own show, like The Tommy Angelo Show? That would be cool. He could bring his guitar and do musical interludes.

[/ QUOTE ]

I heard that the Pope is going to have Tommy on his Sunday morning show.

The manuscript was sent to a printer last week. Tommy expects it to become available around November 1. Expect updates on his web site.

From an email

"I imagine what you really want to know is when you can have it!

Well... one of the advantages of Booksurge is that their printing cycle is relatively short. With some mainstream publishers, it is still a year from the submission of the manuscript until the book reaches the shelves. Booksurge tells us that four to six weeks is common from sending in the file to holding an actual book.

It depends, of course. Tommy is still working on cover ideas. He'll find something cool before Booksurge prints the book. And Booksurge sends out files and eventually a sample copy to approve before the book is ready to sell. We'll be going over those. Each cycle of correcting the file and sending it back to Booksurge will delay the book by about two weeks.

So, I'm not making any promises here!

Even so, Elements of Poker just took a huge step closer to being in your hands. "

That's not necessarily slow. The printer has prepress work to do, which could range from minor to major. Then it is printed, then it is bound, which may involve another vendor. Each of those steps likely have to wait for an available slot on the schedule. Once the books are printed, it can take a few days to a few weeks to reach sellers. (As we hear ad nauseum around here every time a new book comes out: "When is it going to be in my local store?")
