i dunno what is standard, but sometimes i would minraise, fold to a reraise, bet some turns small if called. hey, its a weird hand.

yea yea, kind of what i'm looking to get is someone saying "this is good because of this" and it making sense to me. it's not like this is a spot where i feel like i'm losing a bunch of EV or anything, I'm just looking for options and thoughts bc it's pretty weird.

thoughts on not having the 5 of diam? make it more attractive to move on or less attractive? thoughts on raising to iso?

Honestly I think it is impportant to mix up raising, calling and folding here. I usually go on feel on these types of spots.
Obv we dont want to be raising here very often because it might be marginally -ev but I think its important to do it just to randomize ur play and set up future hands vs anybody at the table really.

Also I think it is good to raise preflop here most of the time, trying to iso the guy with 50bb

imo sb is done w the hand, so im just weighing 55's equity versus the random halfstack donk. i dont think ur ever good enough to play for his stack, but minraising as a (rarely semi)bluff may have some merits. i dunno. i tend to just fold here.

o yea to clarify preflop, this is almost always a raise, but i'd been smashing this guy and i tfelt like from utg 1 it was a good spot to just flat, considering ppl 3-betting behind me and utg LRRing me which i really can't withstand

actually I dont think we can continue b/c of his stack. If he was deeper than I can see a flop float or raise fro randomization. But he only has 400 left and the pot is like 250 already, and i dont think were ahead of his range here
