Default Tell me something about your USB Headset!

Hi,

I have a laptop with a really crappy onboard sound card.
But I want to use a headset, and the normal ones have a really low microphone quality when I plug it into my sound device, so I decided to buy a USB headset.

However, I have no idea, which ones are good. So if you have a USB headset, could you please post here:

1) which USB headset do you have?
2) how comfortable is your headset(i.e. do you have pain after wearing it a few hours?)?
3) how is the headphone sound quality (only good for Skype or also fine for music and movies)?
4) how is the microphone?
5) would you buy the same headset again?

Thanks in advance!

I've never worn it for hours at a time. It's nowhere near as comfortable as my xbox360 one though. also I have a pretty huge head.

It seems fine but I primarily use it for voice.

I've had no problems with it at all. The app I use it for is very sensitive to your voice and any background noise etc. screws it up, but I haven't had any problems unless something loud is going on.

I have no complaints and it was cheap, so yes.

i have the logitech "premium notebook headset" which is nice because it folds flat and comes with a travel case.

it's comfortable enough that it doesn't bother me at all. i'd buy it again.

Ok thanks for your help!

I finally decided to buy the Logitech USB 250 Headset, which is more comofortable than the 350 according to reviews on the web. If anyone wants me to, I will give a personal review of it as soon as it has arrived.

OK, i received my headset yesterday, and here is my review:

1) which USB headset do you have?

Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250

2) how comfortable is your headset(i.e. do you have pain after wearing it a few hours?)?

Very comfortable, because it's not too tight.

3) how is the headphone sound quality (only good for Skype or also fine for music and movies)?

It is by far more than I expected. Might not be perfect if you want to enjoy movies in surround sound, ldo, but it's really fine for listening to music and watching movies on your notebook. The max. volume is pretty loud

4) how is the microphone?

I didn't test it with Teamspeak or Skype yet but I used the Windows Audio Recorder to test it. If you don't speak there is a strange background noise in the recording, but not too annoying since it's not too loud, and as soon as you speak, this noise is gone.

5) would you buy the same headset again?

I think so, quality of the build seems good and the price was also ok (you can get it for about 20 Euros = about 25-30 US$)
