Re: 3/6NL: QQ, not sure where I am on the river
I would look him up, this is pretty weird.. I'd think a nit with those stats and AF would start betting better hands on the turn.. He's very unlikely to have a K with how the PF action went down.. his line preflop is also pretty weird, cold calling a raise and then calling your re-raise... my best guess would be some suited connector or mid pair that called initial raise PF and then decided he had "odds" to set-mine/try to flop big b/c you 3-bet relatively small (<pot-size at least)
if we assume he 3-bets AK/JJ/KK PF and folds baby pairs (or at least bets a set before the river), then all you're really behind is a rivered set with the 99. |

Re: 3/6NL: QQ, not sure where I am on the river
Your 3bet preflop is way to small, i would raise to 150.
I would bet the flop as well because he can have TT, JJ and some other hands that i do not want to give a free card here. As played i cb on the turn and probably fold the river since he might have played JJ or 99 and maybe AK or KQ the same way and his bet looks really much like a valuebet edit: would you mind sending me the results via pm? thanks |

Re: 3/6NL: QQ, not sure where I am on the river
I usually cbet this flop but it can go either way and it is more of a style thing.
If I didn't bet the flop, I would usually bet 2/3 pot or similar on turn for value. You need to bet at least one street of value imo, and I think the flop or turn are better choices than the river because of free cards and you are more likely to bluff earlier. As played, I think river is a clear call. |
