Default FRNL100 - AK TPTK vs LAG and a really ugly board

Villain is in almost every other hand and very aggressive post flop. Caught him bluffing a couple times. He doesn't usually raise preflop.

Why didn't I raise more preflop - my object was to get HU with villain and I figured a 2x raise would be enough.

Why didn't I shove turn? The board is ugly and his donk bet on the turn had me confused. Trips? Made flush? I thought of shoving anyway but also felt if I didn't hit at least a straight by the river I was beat. I don't think I had any fold equity.

I can't shake this nagging feeling my turn call indicated weakness and gave him the green light to bluff me out of the pot. Still, there are so many ways I can be beat here...

A 2x raise isnt enough. Make it like 16.

I really dont know about turn. Such a scary board.

You are funny. Since he usually don't raise preflop, what do you think he has on flop? You are at most even with his hand. River he likely has fullhouse, could be K's full or Q's full. And about the donk mini-reraise, excellent play.

Pre-flop sucks. Either make it a proper raise or just smmoth call.

Other than that you did OK IMO. I'd be worried by the turn bet and without the [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] draw, I'd fold.

Raise more preflop and consider checking boards like this sometimes on the flop. You're uncomfortable playing a large pot unless you spike broadway so just keep the pot small. Turn is close but river is a clear fold.
