Re: High Stakes Poker thread (9/3)
I found the episode pretty boring. Most of the time some people were talking stuff i couldn't understand while waiting for Brandon to decide whether to call or to reraise with his trash hand.
And Hellmuth's river bet was just perfect. At least it accomplished embarassing Brandon for not raising it after he hit his miracle card. |

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (9/3)
i think this is the first time i was actually bored during an HSP episode, the play sucked, the table was playing too nitty and like calling stations, brandon took 5 mins everytime he wanted to do something... meh.. hope episode 3 is better, and they quit the 72 thing, gets kinda old...

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (9/3)
I don't believe that Hellmuth is happy about that $2,500 bet even though he defends it. When the 7 hit, his gut reaction was that he was beat. He even said something like "not a seven" when it hit. Brandon's flat call was ridiculous.
Why did Laak fold that flush draw? Does he know it's a cash game? |
