Re: AA in small stakes satelite
wow so i folded the AA, and immediately regretted it. it was a turbo rebuy on stars, and the blinds go up so fast i ended up squeaking in at 14 unreal

Re: AA in small stakes satelite
is it guaranteed tho?
You should work out the equity...I bet it was wrong to fold...especially in a sat |

Re: AA in small stakes satelite
ahh i dont remember now... the bb was like 1k, the guy had like 15 and i had like 24 i think. and there were 6 ppl with < 10k.
villain made it like 4k pf, shoving would give him >2 -1 with antes and blinds. i dont think hes folding, and if he has a pp, and spikes a set, i'm in bad shape. i duno i thought about it and didnt wanna trade 100% for 80%. fwiw, i folded into the money |

Re: AA in small stakes satelite
1) I dont mind a fold
2) Shoving might be better if Villian has a brain cause you have great FE. 3) If Villian is a tard meh fold I guess but Id feel real hostile about it. 4) If Villian is one of those < 10K stacks image is less relevant and it becomes more of a clear push. - JA |

Re: AA in small stakes satelite
If everybody is playing strictly "fold to a seat" then nobody can ever do it. If only the shortstack is VP$P, he will win blinds and antes until somebody new is the shortstack and repeats the cycle. The only way to break out of the cycle is to call (or for the blinds to get so big that they put somebody all-in blind), and the hand to call with is AA. Of course, it's more likely that people aren't all playing perfectly. If there's any kind of action being given by others at the table, folding into the seat is realistic.
