Default Small stack, small blind, modest holding

$10 MTT, 576 entrants, 120 left. Blinds at 150/300. Have been struggling with bad cards but managed to stay alive so far. UTG and dealer seem solid, BB loose and lucky. At 10 player table: UTG calls, 6 fold, dealer calls, I pick up AcJs in SB. The stacks of the two players that already called and of the BB are all around 7000, mine is a modest 1780. Fold, call or push?

Shove without a seconds thought.

You have 5ish bbs, and need to make a stand

push... you have no chips, and pot already has 1k. you are going to get called by one of them, but most of the time you will have the better hand.

Thanks, good reinforcement. I didn't push, tried to slow play, hit J on flop with 2 hearts and one overcard (Q), made a smallish feeler bet, got called by loose player who caught his flush (with 97s in the hole) on turn where I caught an ace as well, thus having two pair. Suspected flush but was committed anyway. What I learned : don't slow play such modest holding.

QFT

What the slowplayers dont realise is that, if you sp against a good player, you are giving him correct odds, and when he makes his hand, he will crucify you

Just think, <12bb, the only decision you need to make is ai or fold

this is a shove giving you some fold equity and very preferable odds if you are called. further these two limpers call with smaller aces and suboptimal holdings because your shove looks like a steal.

Also, if you pushed there, 97 probably folds.

Slowplay AJ? Out of position? With a short stack? I'm befuddled.
