Agreed and you have my nomination for head of monkey security..

Although I still find it so hard to believe that a guy who could have the brains to be able to pull this off is that stupid to make it this obvious.. Smells a bit fishy..

At this point it looks like Absolute discovered the PAYUP account before everyone here did. They must have some information on how these accounts were "cheating" - otherwise they would not have discovered PAYUP - unless someone here let them know. At least they are doing some research without the help of the angry mob.

It also looks like these were fairly unused/low limit accounts prior to the recent update. Somewhere around the middle of August. Anyone have an exact date on this?

PS - Who was talking about this at TOKYOHANA in HOUSTON, TX last night?? Out yourself plz....

[/ QUOTE ]

Once AP knew which of their super-accounts was compromised, tracing who used it and when is an absolute cake walk...

I doubt AP is the only site to have such accounts, I hope the other sites take action now that the cat is out of the bag.

And aren't we just teaching them how to get away with this next time?

the problem with this assumption is that it relies on the veracity and up to date knowledge of AP's crack team of security howler monkeys

To get results from absolute you have to use the carrot & stick approach. A boycott won't help $$$$low stakes>>>> highstake$ but if at a high level communication could go something like this:
A)We like absolute we want it to continue to be a preferred poker site
B)its obvious what these accounts were capable of
C)while we understand its complicated please give us open and honest updates every 24hrs from (someone significant)
D)if this is to difficult we have no choice but to unleash 1000 pimply 16 year olds on every message board and even your site performing our own vocal investigation with possible incorrect beliefs.

thanks

Or someone with an interest in seeing Absolute lose business.. Which could also explain the chip dumping back.. Maybe they didn't want anyone to be able to trace it to them.. So could there be higher motives than the money?
