I can't see this being anything but a shove.

readless im shoving here, and hopping that villain is a really bad player w/78, 99+, air. My read on this bet is trying to scare out the naked As/ buy. You've got equity against made hands, there are hands you beat, and maybe fold equity although this probably isn't large.

That said if there was ever a board to fold bottom set to an overbet from an unknown, this is it. If we were both deep folding would probably be the smaller mistake.

There's nothing beating us that will fold. So what FE do we have? As you said, villain is playing like he doesn't want a spade to hit. I don't think we beat much besides 87. Seems unlikely a villain would play 99 or 98 like this. Much more likely it's a baby flush, straight, all 2 pair combos, or a set I would think.

I'm sure I'd push in a game, but after thinking about it, I think if you've been at a table a little bit with him and havent' seen him do anything really weird like this, a fold is probably correct.

one funny leak i have is that i pretty much instashove the As on this flop, on the basis that i don't have any implied odds because if i hit my hand the board will be super scary. but here it feels worse because even if we have more equity against a random hand, we could be drawing almost dead
