First off, this isnt exactly a "standard" college scenario. Due to unfortunate circumstances I'm going to community college (BEAT.) until this fall. It's really hard to meet people here as opposed to a normal college, so every now and then I'll troll facebook to see if there's anyone cute going to the same campus. I would never mess with a girl that goes to community college... I spent a year there and the girls were all married, crazy, working 40+ hrs/week, in a very serious relationship or completely stupid.
I tried hitting on a few over the year but was just confused and annoyed by them or their situations.

Honesty is always the best policy. Write her back and say something like, "that's cool, I just noticed we went to the same school and I thought you looked interesting. My name's blah blah blah, nice to meet you, yadda yadda." While dude is in the picture, you can't push anything (or you'd be a rat bastard if you did), but you can be nice, and, [censored], who knows what happens in the future.
