why pop the turn? if he pops it back, are u honestly going to fold there? or if he just cold-calls the raise, are u going to fold on the river when we didn't make our flush?

Unless he shows you his cards that beat you, you should call the river. If he flopped the flush then I think he would have re-raised the flop. Sure he could be playing tricky, but he could also have Ax or a big pair with a flush draw.

Without reads you have no feelings.

Edit: This is .02/.04, you will see things that make Britney look sane.

on the flop, I think you should have raised immediately to protect the large pot. I think it plays differently from there... plus the converter screwed up... what happened to BB after raising the flop??

Thanks for the input guys. I know I made the right decision on every street except the river. But it ultimately came down to, do I think this guy flopped a flush? I thought it unlikely. But I did felt that I was beat. But I guess the big question is..

a) As I said before you need to 3-bet the flop. When your flush comes in, people are going to slow down. You want to get money in on this flop.

b) several ppl said raise the turn, yet you didn't?

c) you are being results-oriented. "My flop and turn calls are good because I was behind. I should have folded river, because I didn't have the best hand." You provided us with no reads. To correctly fold, you have to be >90% sure you are beat.

Poker is situational, and correct plays have to do with the range of possibilities and how we should respond with that range, given opponents tendencies. Your play was a response to only the most likely scenario, and ignores the opponents and pot size.
