BB is known 2+2 player

[/ QUOTE ]
This fact is meaningless.

The authoritative tone is nice, but you need to say more than that.

Preflop: 2+2er is BB CO posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG raises, Hero 3-bets with J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, CO (poster) calls, 2 folds, 2+2er caps, UTG calls, Hero calls, CO calls.

Flop: (16.50 SB) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img](4 players)
2+2er bets, UTG folds, Hero ....

...folds immediately. Your odds are not as good as they seem, and they seem pretty piss poor. Chasing these draws because of the current immediate odds is bad chasing. Welcome to reverse implied odds.

[/ QUOTE ]

The only hand against which hero is in serious trouble is KK. This is not a situation of reverse implied odds.

2+2 does not host games. BB is a 2+2 poster. ZOMG the fear, I tremble at the thought of micro 2+2 poster at my table. Jeeze, stop the presses! lol

Seriously, it doesn't matter what his off court digs are at the micros. You think because someone posts at 2+2 they are a forced to be reckoned with? Not.

Don't consider yourself a 2+2 player, there's no such animal. You are a poker player...period.

You should look up "non sequitur" and add it to your vocabulary.

so do you not classify people as LAGs/TAGs/LAPs/etc? After-all, they are just a poker player...period.

By OP stating that villian is 2p2, it tells us that he at least thinks about his game and how to play optimally as best as possible. If you do not see how this matters, well I can not proceed any further.

If you sat at a table that had some random player you've never played with before and say.. me, which you have also never played with before (hypothetical as I have no idea if you have played w/ me or not) but you knew exactly who I was...... would you treat my 3bets/caps differently than his? If yes, how so? To what extent?

kk have to agree that it's spew then, i think the call is bad too personally but its slightly better than folding, next time I will probably peel and fold ui.

[/ QUOTE ]

every decision in poker we have 3 (or 2) options. all that matters is to pick the best one. you cant just look at one decision and say calling sucks therefore we must use one of the others.

here, yes there are so many reasons why calling sucks. but its still infinitely better than folding or raising.

By OP stating that villian is 2p2, it tells us that he at least thinks about how to overthink hands and make fancy folds with 100% equity but that will make him feel proud of later. If you do not see how this matters, well I can not proceed any further.
