Well, if he has an A it's likely he would have bet it. If he has anything else that beats you probably would have heard about it earlier. OTOH, I don't think you're getting called with much that you beat, either. Plus there is the small chance of getting pushed off the best hand with a river CR. Meh, I check.

I probably bet but it's really thin. change the A to any other paint card and it's much easier.

I think the question boils down to 2 things.
Will he call with K high? How likely is an 8 with a better kicker?

I check. I don't really think either way is that bad but if he raises me with aces up I am gonna feel stupid.

i think its close here, maybe with a good read you would know what way to play. i think valuetown will definately get calls from weaker 1 pair hands, as well as you getting smoked by better 1 pair hands.

Me too. Some fear of a bluff raise is one of the main factors that pushes it to a check to me.
