Re: Tips for finding good games: The Art of Table selection?
Since I play AP full ring, I don't really have the luxury of table selection. This has also been to my benefit. I see the same players and I learn to play with what I am given.
Currently I put no real stock into table selection (when I move up or play 6-max that may change). I generally will stay at the same tables the whole night. I do move if I feel I'm being dominated (by a better player) routinely or have a bad feeling about the table. As much time as I have spent on 2+2 lately, I still say there is alot to be said about instinct and just feeling when it is time to move. When I get better, I will probably start using BtSpiders method of actively searching for better tables, or even Wookies idea of baiting a new table. For now though, I want to concentrate on simply playing the game of poker by selecting "first available table" and not wasting my time with table selection. |

Re: Tips for finding good games: The Art of Table selection?
not EXACTLY what you were looking for, but a good read
and yeah, the Grunch/wookie method of table selection is KEY. If you guys didn't get enough HU practice at microHULA, play against each other some more so you can feel comfortable at the table. |
