Re: Pocket Jacks: I might as well hand over my wallet.
I wouldn't want the blinds in - three bet for sure - it's not a great hand in traffic - but if it gets capped I'm calling 100%, but be prepared to lay it down early then if you have to - it's a tight margin. Think of it this way - what would you be doing at .05/.10 with it.

Re: Pocket Jacks: I might as well hand over my wallet.
***grunch
hand 1: - preflop: the UTG+1 raise might be a steal attempt (blinds and poster), but with button cold calling 2 and SB 3-betting it is VERY likely that aces with a high kicker (K to J) are out or a pair of QQ to AA. So I wouldn't cap here for 3 reasons: 1. no value bet because you are not likely to win if ANY overcard falls. 2. for info: does UTG+1 cap or not (steal/no steal?) 3. to hide your hand - flop: As far as I remember from SSH as a general rule you should NEVER just call a bet if you are next from the bettor. Either fold or raise. There are few situations, where a call is OK (draw situations), but you have to protect your hand here!!! You also can gain information relatively cheap now while the bets are still small! So, raise and reevaluate when it gets back to you. Anyway, folding after 2 raises is PERFECT! hand 2: - preflop: GOOD! - flop: BAD! MP3 might be on a draw (spade). Like hand 1: either fold (not recommended) or RAISE!!! hand 3: - preflop: GOOD! - flop & turn: RAISE!!! NO overcards! Get UTG out on the flop! - river: call is OK -Thrakkar P.S: Now let me take a look at the results... |
