Default FT 750k JJ hand vs. P0KERPR0

This is a hand I watched a friend play early in Sunday's 750k. I had my own advice for him during the hand, but am curious what you all think. I don't have the HH but the hand is pretty straight forward.

Blinds 30/60
Hero (3,700) is in UG with TT. He raises to 180. A MP shortstack (210) goes all in. P0KERPR0 (3300) calls 210. Hero calls 30.

Flop is 982r. Hero decides to check (not really sure why) and P0KERPR0 bets 400. Now what? I suggested making a raise (maybe 1100 or so) and then shutting down if P0KERPR0 calls or raises.

I probably lead the flop. Now that you've checked you're in kind of a tough spot. I don't really see a lot of value in a c/r. What better hands fold? What worse hands call? Maybe c/c, then c/f the turn. Or hell, just c/f now...he is betting into a dry sidepot...

I would usually lead on the flop for 1/2 pot. I fold the flop when he bets, I don't think he is making this bet with at least top pair. His cc probably means he has a set or top two. Maybe an overpair. If you check raise, you are going to bloat the pot out of position.

Yeah I think you are both right... I guess I didn't want to give up on the hand and hated a call more. He ended up calling the flop then CRAI on turn.
