Default Best Poker Tracking Software/Web-Sites

Hey y'all, allow me to preface this by saying that I am relatively new the forums. I've been lurking for a while, but I haven't posted anything of any real substance.

As a beginning player, or at least someone who is finally looking to take playing poker online (and live) seriously, I've been searching for the best Hand Analysis tools on the internet and have been unable to come to any conclusion as to which one to use. I have also been looking for a web-site or a program that would allow me to track my win/loss as well as detailed session reports quickly and easily.

Particularly, which sites/poker tracking software have the most intuitive and easy to read interfaces?

Obviously, Poker Tracker has come up, but from everything I can gather it takes a lot to read it properly and get the most out of it. I'd be willing to invest in it, obviously, as time goes on and I can take the money out of my bankroll (I'm currently trying to build a bankroll out of $5.31).

What software do you recommend for hand analysis and what do you recommend to use (besides Excel) for tracking your sessions--including detailed notes on each individual ring game, tournament, and MTT?

I look forward to y'alls responses, and I apologize because I know that this question has been asked before, but I'd like everyones fresh take on it if I could.

Thanks,
Sky

www.holdemmanager.net

<-- currently in beta, doesn't do HUD yet, but should be fine (and currently free) for your needs

The PokerTracker team are currently working on PokerTracker 3, which should be very good and a lot easier to use, and if you buy PokerTracker now they said you'll be able to upgrade for a reduced price.

Holdem Manager offers some new functionality but is missing a lot of stuff that's currently in PokerTracker. It's also going to be fairly expensive. Other options are Poker Maven and Poker Prospector. They have better and simpler user interfaces than anything on market, and are probably good if you don't want the really advanced stuff or huge databases, which it sounds like you don't.

It's not that I don't want the more advanced features/huge database, I plan on building my hand history and I want to have in-depth analysis.

It's just that I've seen that PokerTracker and some of the other poker-tracking software is very difficult to use and as a n00b, I'd like to have something that could find the holes in my game and help me plug them as simply as possible.

...If that makes any sense.

And my greatest problem is that I really just don't know to pick one. I would like to get the best, most intuitive software on the market and not feel as though I'm regretting my decision later on. As a college student, money is tight and I'm just developing my bankroll...I'd really like to hear y'alls experience with whatever programs you've used and which one you've liked the most as well as why.

Thanks,
Sky
