ROFL

All-in on a K-J-Tr

"You got the flush?"

ROFL indeed.

I can't believe none of you guys realized he asked, "You got the flush draw?" The "...draw" part got chopped off when he saw his opponent turn over the straight before he could finish his sentence.

First of all, it wasn't KJTr, it was K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

This is something donkeys do all the time -- he bets out with top 2, gets raised, 3-bets, and his opponent comes over the top all-in. Instead of folding, he puts the guy on the only hand that would push that is behind top 2: that's a flush draw (Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] might do this, with the OESD + 2nd nut flush draw; also, A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] might do this with the nut flush draw and gutshot). So he calls and says (praying) "you got the flush- draw?" But after "flush-" the guy turns over Q9 so Top 2 just shakes his head and prays for his 4 outer, which the gods are nice enough to give him.

I'm not saying the guy isn't a fish -- clearly he is -- but at least he knows that you need 5 spades, not 4, for a flush.

Steve Dannenman may have the worst group of friends ever.

And, you can tell that from 1 minute on TV, genius? Looks to me like they have a good time. I take it you and all your friends are cool and bought into the ME?

Here are my $.02 worth:

- Celebrities ... Why not more on Shannn Elizabeth who made it to day 2,

[/ QUOTE ]

Because Shannon Elizabeth didnt make it to the dinner break of day 1, How do I know ? She was at my table.... She busted out after struggling most of the day with a cold deck. When she was down to 1300 in chips ESPN hung around for a full 30 minutes waiting for her to bust out, but she hung in there till they got tired and moved on. As soon as she lost *Poof* she was gone before espn could cover it (good for her). So thats why there's very little Shannon Elizabeth.

There was also no coverage of the "Fire Drill" that happened on day 2, nor was there coverage of the Mock applause that Phil Hellmuth received when he busted out.

[/ QUOTE ].

My bad ... for some reason I thought that she had made it to day 2.

Lon has been announcing for four years and he thinks Q9 on a KJT board is the nut straight?

[/ QUOTE ]

We have to grade Lon on a curve. He thinks 8d6d is a suited connector.

[/ QUOTE ]

He also said 97 of clubs was suited connectors

In the old days -- and probably even today -- many players called one- and two-gappers "connectors" as well. 76s was a "zero-gap" suited connector.

Yes, but because part of the enhanced value is the "connectedness" of the two cards, they are suited connectors and only a nit would expect an ESPN announcer to say, "well, he has a sutied two gapper, there, Lon ... I think he is going to raise it up." 2p2rs recognize that the larger the gap the less the connectedness adds to the EV of the cards, but you can't blame ESPN for not trying to explain that to average Joe.
