If I saw $100 at an ATM, I'd go inside and give it to the bank. If I saw $10,000 I'd probably just take the money - that's a worthwhile amount to me. I know that some people have no such boundary (or really, really high ones), but most people have a limit somewhere. Where your limit is depends to an extent on how much the money means to you. To illustrate with an extreme, if I hadn't fed my children in a week and saw $10 on the street, I'd take it.

I sincerely doubt that Indians choose their mates on how good they are at maths, which would mean that Indians are not genetically better at maths. It's a social pressure based on the idea that if you do better at certain classes at school, you will have a better life. If you are able to apply that social pressure to any other racial group, the results will be the same. It's just that it's really hard to create conditions where that social pressure can be applied.
