Default Levels of irony on Pokerpages

I quite enjoyed this piece on Pokerpages :

Michael Cheser

nh well played IMO. Cliff notes : most people who play the main event are donks who just want to say they played it.

What I really like though is the editor's notes at the top, which basically say that this is just a joke, haha you're not donks really. So the irony is that the one ME comment piece that's actually accurate has to be portrayed as a work of satire so as not to upset everyone.

In the article he talks about a guy wins 9 key races in a row. Johnny Chan won 12 in a row when it was down to the final two tables, giving him the largest chip lead ever going into the final table when he won his 2nd title in a row.

12 times, either he or his opponent were all in preflop. One had AK and other a pocket pair. Of course, once Johnny won the 1st 4-6 races, I doubt anyone had him covered.

Last year, the guy covering the main event for pokerstars said that on the first day, Johnny told his opponent, he knew he had AA and mucked his KK face up, three times. All the times, the easy to read fish showed their AA.

Now that's poker baby!

And that's one of the many reasons why, I believe Johnny Chan is the best NL tournament player to ever live.
