Actually, one of the definitions of monotone is something along the lines of, "Of or having a single color."

Monochrome could work as well, though.

I was not aware of that. Learn somethin' new ever' day.

Although I must admit, if a flop sang to me, I really wouldn't be too upset if it was in a monotone .

Looks good but just one question - wtf is a "monotone" flop?

Add 6 points if you are pushing into a bigger stack *and* there is a short stack (3 BB or less) in the game *AND* YOU HAVE MORE THAN 6BBS.
That should fix the leak that was exposed in my AJ example.

Is any newb currently following this guide for 20% ROI?

I finished a sample of 300 11s last night for an ROI of -1% from reading 2+2 books and forums.

Wondering if I should stick to this guide from here on out.

i think there is a misconception among some of the higher level posters on this forum that the 11s are so easy that if you're playing at less than a 20% roi, you're some sort of an idiot.

i've been fortunate enough to be able to take some of the advice here (here meaning in this forum, not in this thread) and apply it for a 22% roi over 300 games or so at the 11s and 22s (rabble rabble sample size rabble rabble), but I don't think that i'm an idiot for not killing them at like 30% or something similar.

i just think -- yes, there are a hell of a lot of very stupid 11s players -- but I think that the idea that a guide like this would produce a 20% roi is vastly overstated. it might produce a positive roi -- which is good -- but I don't think the 11s are quite as easy as everyone assumes/remembers.

i just want to tack something on here.

the idea that following this post's advice will give you better results than following the combined advice of the forum and the 2+2 books is a bad one. the way adanthar went about creating this thing was by thinking about how to play the gamse, and the way he thinks about them is pretty well documented on this forum.

as always, a couple page long guide is a framework, not a replacer.

Haha, while this forum and most of what 2+2 publishes is very good learning material, you need to think for yourself. Take what you learn on this forum and books, and apply it to your game. Do not "blindly" follow this advice and expect to be an instant winner.

Becoming a winning player takes learning, and lots of playing.

I would be shocked if this guide was worth 10% ROI over a decent sample size, not to detract from Adanthar's effort. The $11s just aren't THAT easy to beat.
