Just watched it.

For the first time all year, I thought Melinda was second best.

Blake just did something really different tonight and I thought it was ballsy, and very very good. I watched it twice... sample size issues for the graph. Just a unique, enjoyable performance. He did everything right in that song (even ignoring the beat-boxing). Best of the night.

Melinda was predictably great vocally, but I agree with whoever said something was off with the performance. Too much growling or something. Plus the song didn't show her off. The range wasn't anything, no good runs, but she's such an incredible singer I still loved it.

I can't get over the fact that if you close your eyes and listen to Lakisha, you can tell that she's an overweight, unattractive woman. I know that makes me a prick, but I just don't like it.

Chris did as well as Chris can do.

I'm glad people are starting to get off the Jordin wagon. She's pretty good and only 17 yada yada yada, but you can count on her to be pretty bad every third performance or so.

Phil is kinda growing on me. His tone is nice.

Hey I only started watching Deadliest Catch because it was recommended on the Idol board a few weeks ago. And... it's awesome! Thanks for the tip, my TIVO now has a new season pass.

As for the idol... JOrdin was horrible and Lakisha is going to be screwed by the BS 2-week voting crap.

Possibly although I think Chris would probably have gone home last week... and if we were only voting on this week's performances Jordin would be gone this week.

Frozen unfortunately. I can almost guarantee Mel will be fav again tomorrow morning, and Blake may even overtake Jordin for 2nd place. If you can find a book to take Blake to win at 5-1 or better it's probably a good bet.

No way. Even if this was a normal week Jordin has too big a fanbase to go this week no matter what. If Chris had gone last week then tomorrow it would be Phil, Lakisha or even Blake before Jordin. Remember when Taylor sang "This Gun's For Hire"? shudder...
