Nothing in op mentioned villain being a station, sorry not everyone knows who td85 is. If he is in fact a station, then value bet here is probably better than c/c.

i think its very thin, but correct play. i think he has just a 10 the majority of the time, just got to hope he makes the hero call.

c/c is the worst usually, shove or check/fold

no, people bluff. its like c/c>shove>c/f.

He called a cr, and called a turn bet. He has something w/ SD value. You think he's going to bluff the river w/ QT?

I supposed he could have something like QJcc/A5cc, etc - but I still prefer betting river for value.

Having position can easily justify calling our c/r with clubs. And given our 1/2 PSB on the turn we almost give him correct odds to continue on the turn. Seeing as how we will have a hard time folding with any hand with value (given stack sizes), he can assume that his remaining $650 will get paid off on the river if he hits thus fully justifying his turn chase.

This seems just as conceivable to me as him having Tx or 88-99 and looking to make a hero call. Not to say he doesn't have those hands. But my first post implied that since both options are viable, I think I go for c/c to reduce the spewiness that the latter has to offer.

If the board did not flop a FD than I would absolutely like a river shove. Because now we can't expect him to bluff the river nearly as often and thus we would lose a lot of value on our hand.

This is why 2p2 becomes close to useless and purely for entertainment once you get to the point where you have the basics down. Every post is either something stupid/easy/obv or one like this where its totally player dependent... a "gray area". Some players will call this with weaker, and some will fold better. VPIP/PFR is no longer enough information to make a good suggestion for hands like this.. "it depends"..

i think this is a great play with the right read/history, but against some this is awful.
Also C/c river is really ugly
