I probably call river becuase your line looks so weak, even though the 3 is a terrible card.

for those saying to call the river...you must be putting him on absolute air here, no? i doubt he bets a K. i even doubt he bets w/some 2 pair hand.

Why cant he be betting a K here?? I would be betting 2 pair here (albeit not for 88).

He's never betting K there that big, you just can't expect someone to call with the worst hand for that much on that crappy board

i feel like most players are happy to get to showdown w/these hands on this board. his river bet seems too strong to be a 'value bet' w/a hand that's not a flush or straight,.

I think this is a fold on the river. I doubt you're looking at a str8 b/c decent players usually don't draw for a gutshot on a 2 flush board; unless he backed into it floating 77. Wouldn't he be 3-betting preflop a large % of hands that contain a K? If he does have a K I just don't see him making such a bet on the river; but it is highly dependent on the player as to whether I call. I think it would be a very thin call though.

Counter my reasoning for checking.

Try not to use the expression 'free card' more than once.

River looks like a good fold if you made it.

Everything got there. You're hoping he has QQ-88 to make that call, which I don't give him credit for.
