Re: Midstage+ with 2x average stack
I let the gamble go. Your getting less than 2 to 1 on your money here. If the villian has a pair lower than a queen you have 10 outs with a back door flush as well. Which does not pay 2 to 1. So that covers your odds on your best case scenrio.
If the villian has a big pair AA, KK, QQ which he might from UTG your really in bad shape. The only other play I see an opponent make here is with A,K and then your drawing really thin. That's not my play but I have seen it done. |

Re: Midstage+ with 2x average stack
As played - easy fold.
I think a re-raise preflop was a better play to at least get heads up with UTG - I even prefer a fold to a call. UTG raises are all the fashion but with his stacksize he looks committed. Raise to 3000, mp2 folds and u are racing with lots of dead money |

Re: Midstage+ with 2x average stack
getting 2:1 with almost certainly 7 outs this would be close. but since sometimes you have 10 outs, and you are occasionally ahead, and you have a backdoor flush draw, i dont see how you can fold.

Re: Midstage+ with 2x average stack
That's a call. You're closing the action with a large stack and he's pushing almost whatever the flop.
