What would you guys recommend as the best course to play in Las Vegas? nothing to far away from the strip.

Thanks,

some guys I played with recommended Bali Hai. I played Paiute (Wolf) for $59 through standby golf (702) 597-BOOK. It would be worth renting a car for $20 or whatever to drive out to play there. About a 25 minute drive from Monte Carlo for me. TREMENDOUS course in immaculate shape.

Call the pro at the Callaway golf center on the southern end of the strip and ask him for the names of some courses that don't cost $500 to play. I asked him when he fitted me for a new set of clubs and he had a list of some great courses to play in the area for under a $100. Most of the courses the hotels steer you to are way over priced.

Bali Hai is nice but way overpriced.

Standby Golf is the nuts, they can give you good advice on the condition of the courses too.

Wolf course is great, but usually windy. Close to the strip is Las Vegas National which is where they used to play the PGA events. Great course when it's in good shape. My favorite course in the area is the Lexington course at the Revere Club in Anthem (S of the strip). It's worth renting car to play at some of these places. TPC Canyons in Summerlin is also nice.

It's an hour away in Mesquite, but Wolf Creek is my favorite course of all time (and I've played Pine Valley).

1) Wolf course at Paiute

This course was surprisingly good and is a nice golf experience.
It was much better than playing through condos/homes at other area courses.
