Re: $80 WSOP Sat - big stack on Button
I would have reraised AI on the turn. I think he has a Kc or Ac here a lot. I think you are ahead of his range and have to call, but you really needed to raise the turn b/c there are a lot of cards on the river you are not going to like.
I think you most often see a pair with a missed flush draw here, but would not be surprised to see the nut flush or st too. Raise the turn next time. |

Re: $80 WSOP Sat - big stack on Button
Given the range I had him on, I had to call. In this case, he showed 44 for the flopped set. So while I wasn't drawing dead, I only had 4 outs to the full house.
However, I was surprised that he was willing to go AI at the end. I don't know if he was expecting me to fold given my apparent weakness or betting for value. <WARNING>Results-Oriented Thinking ahead</WARNING> I'm not sure how this hand would have played out using a different line. 1. Fold pre-flop, I lose nothing (but I haven't seen any votes for that option). 2. Bet out on the flop, he likely pushes allin, to which I can fold given the board. 3. Check behind on the flop, but reraise AI on the turn, I'm sure he calls, given the actual result. 4. Push preflop? Suicidal on my part, but he probably folds 44 then, since he's currently 2nd stack, and doesn't need to take a stand. Maybe 4x accomplishes the same thing, since he doesn't have implied odds against a big pocket pair. Thanks for the input, Kindling |

Bump to see if I get any different insight from the night crew.
Thanks, Kindling |

Re: $80 WSOP Sat - big stack on Button
The blinds are too high to fold to the money for certain. You have to play this hand for a raise preflop. On the turn, I probably shove here. You're up against a naked flush draw or something like that too often to let him see the river.
Since you did just flat call the turn, call the all-in. |

Re: $80 WSOP Sat - big stack on Button
I would raise here since I dont think you can fold into the seat, but fold to a push.
