Default Re: who was the big black guy at WSOP cash games?

i was playing 30-60 with him and he accused me of being high. i was just kinda drunk and having a smoke every other orbit. He told me that he could "hook me up" but i declined because big black people scare me.

he let me try on his watch, it looks awful. he also told me he has about 6 jacob watches. the one i tried on felt really light which would leave me to believe that it was fake, but i am not positive.

he ripped on a guy i knew from canterbury (chuck from the 15-30 game) for cracking teddy's AA with A9 after teddy limped in.

he constantly mumbles something under his breath after almost every pot that he plays.

so, i played with him for about 6 hours, and he told me that he balls out of control constantly and that i was high or that he could get me high, although i never mentioned anything about drugs.

I played with him at 30/60 in March. He came back from the bathroom, and I happened to scratch my nose as he sat down next to me.

He immediately rubbed his and said "Damn dude, did I miss some?" He was popping pills constantly, claiming a sore/bad back. FWIW.

Him on my left, Brandi on my right. It was an interesting afternoon.

I could be wrong but I was 100% serious that I think he was winning during the WSOP. He played tons of hours and the games were good and he was playing tight and rarely tilting from what I saw.

After the Super Bowl, Teddy kept telling everyone how he was there for it and made a hundred grand selling tickets. I assumed he meant scalping, and I also assumed he didn't include the cost of the tickets in that figure.

During NBA all-star weekend, Teddy would sit in the poker games with some sort of security clearance type card around his neck. As it turns out, Teddy has quite the racket at big sporting events. He wears this counterfeit access pass around his neck, and stands outside the events. He charges people money to get into the event. So if they pay him, he'll just escort them into the arena/stadium with his fake pass or whatever it is.

As mentioned, Teddy is the king of ridiculous claims about poker winnings. Back when he was still playing 30/60, he claimed he pulled 300k per year out of the games.

Yeah, you would think after the 1st 300k year he would try and take a shot at the 60 instead of grinding out at 30. Must be a br nit.

Wow. Another respected guy. Maybe I haven't played with him in a too long. I have no respect for his game at all, but it is very possible that his "showdown" style plays much better at 1-2 than the 30 or the 15. It is also possible that he has gotten much better and soon plans on joining the ranks of his best friends Joe Cassidy and Phil Ivey. I just don't want to admit that I live in a world where this could possibly be the case. I'll be back later...gonna go cry for awhile.

Justin...you have no idea how upset I am that I didn't know about these scams! I tried to stay away during all-star weekend, I wish I could've seen his pass and asked him about it SOOOO bad.

I'm pretty sure that the only true thing out of his mouth is that he takes 300k plus out the games each year. He just forgets to remember that he has to buy-in (in multiples) everyday.

As a sidenote I should mention that Teddy and I have never really been the same since he asked me to loan him 2k after I left a the 30 session about 5 months ago. Somehow I was able to resist his charm and refused. Too bad.
