You should also check out CustomizeGoogle

Blocks google ads (adblock misses some), enables SSL by default for Gmail and other google apps, and a bunch of other stuff.

it allows you to get access to some restricted areas of some sites that they leave open for google to index.

did you accidentally leave it on? Or do you always leave it on? Seems like a lot of sites are cloaking nowadays, or at least optimizing their content specifically for SE bots.

left it on accidentally. It seems to mess with a lot of sites when it is on, making them unusable or missing things.
