Default 4-bet pot, but flop is [censored]

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $61.00
BB: $277.45
UTG: $467.65
Hero (CO): $352.50
BTN: $213.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7.00, BTN raises to $24.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $78.00, BTN calls $54.00

Flop: ($159) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero?

Cry and check/fold?

Villain is 22/20/40 over ~300 hands. I'd say he is a solid player.

I like raising more PF. As played c/f probably. Don't think he's folding JJ+.

Well, he has AA-JJ or AK. So you're [censored]. I check and hope he checks his set behind so I can snag a T.

These hands happen to me all day. Every time I shove flop I end up wishing I c/fed.

This is why I like shoving preflop instead of 4betting pot

I don't like shoving PF either. Looks a ton like the exact hand I have, and I wouldn't play AA like that the majority of the time. Also, this way if he decides to just smooth my 4-bet he can [censored] up by folding his AK on a Qxx board for example when I push, or his JJ/TT whne the board comes Qxx.

a bet is only useful if he has a medium PP like 99 or 1010. otherwise almost any other hand will call and you are beat. check-fold i think.
