cdxx,

given that ricardo has pretty much guessed right the last hwoever many PKs he's faced, I'd say 60% is a decent number. 75% might eb closer to the truth, though.

I am not convinced this is true. People from England are said to know a lot about football. So we should ask them.

I think if Henry doesn't get tripped he scores there around 70% of the time.

Why is Pauleta playing? Does he ever score?

[/ QUOTE ] he scores in the french league and against andorra when playing for portugal, in the finals he is completely useless, part of the reason being that portugal never use 2 strikers and keep playing this chickenshit style even when they need a goal to save their lives. see this game and the 2004 final with greece when the greeks were one up and defending 10 men as usual, but portugal still kept at least 5-6 defensive players.

Is that 75% number for anywhere inside the box? I was talking about the distance from which he took the free kick, and the positioning of it right in front of the goal. Is it still 75% under these conditions?

Any other people want to comment?

75% is about what people score in a PK. there is no way henry scores 70% of the time if there is no penalty.

"Im watching Green Street Hooligans in the background to keep myself in the mood."

Right now, its at the part where Frodo gets into his first Mad Squabble. I am pausing it now to do some adreneline push ups and hit my punching bag. Then I will resume the movie, all of this while watching the game. See you blokes in 5 minutes.

Maybe i didn't see it correctly, but wouldn't Henry have had a clear run at the goal if he doesn't get tripped?
