Ehh, but the argument should mean long term.

Football is a lot of luck. If a ball deflects the wrong way every time then New England won't win vs Miami Dolphins.

So is everything else in some way even though those are considered only skill.

I understand that, but the issue is that very few people reach the long run. I probably won't ever get that far and I'm a fairly serious player. Far far less than 1% (I'd guess .001%, but thats a complete guess) will ever reach the long run. Thus, it really doesn't matter for most people. There are millions of millions of people who have played poker online at one time or another and there are only a select few (hundreds?) that have even put in a million lifetime hands. The long-run isn't applicable to the average player.

Don't get me wrong, I want it legalized. I think the game is 100% skill if everyone were to play an infinite amount of hands. Its just that in reality thats not the way poker, or the world in general works.

well that is infinitely more people than teams reaching the longrun in sports which absolutely can never happen

Agree, but each individual game is more dependent on skill than luck whereas hand by hand is more dependent on luck than skill.

No its not. If we play exactly 1 hand then I can decide before hand to open shove (without telling you this) and then go through with that. I'm going to win more than you are in this situation and it requires absolutely no skill on my part. The less hands you play the more luck matters. Thats all there is to it and you can't argue the other side correctly.

This is the most retarded thing I've ever read, who the hell is voting for mostly luck and some skill???? It is clearly all the people that we send home talking to themselves every night.
