CAN ANYONE COME UP W/ A REASON WHY LIMPING HANDS LIKE KJ/KT IN EP IS GOOT?!?!?!?

[/ QUOTE ]

Say you are at a table full of xx/0 calling stations who will call any pre-flop raise and call down with any piece of the board. (Everest NL25 has a lot of these tables.)

On such tables raising KJ/KT pre is just wasting money because you will always get a multiway pot and won't be able to take it down with a cbet. Folding these hands in EP is an option but if you can get in for 1bb guaranteed you can play these hands (and many others) just for 2pair/straight value.

You can also play these hands for TP value against a table of retarded short stacks. Raising would commit you too early then and limping becomes an option.

[/ QUOTE ]

k well a friend of mine says he always limps these hands in EP and only explaination he had was to see a cheap flop...tryed to tell him that if hes gona play those hands in EP raising>>limping. But your explanation does make since in those situations but 4 the most part raising is still better than limpin but 4 some reason he will not come to terms w/ this. Oh well.

Yes, my explanations were geared towards these specific situations. You will not often find yourself in these situations so raising or folding are usually way better than limping.
