Default How Important is Poker Ace HUD?

I'm only gonna play two or three tables at a time and I want to develop skills that I can use to play live as well.

If I use it I feel that I might become semi-dependent on it.

I could be playing solitaire and know that the vast majority of the pro's here use HUDs, even the ones who frequent B/M

You could try downloading the 30 day trial version of Poker Ace HUD and see for yourself if you think it's worth it.

I wouldn't say I rely completely on HUD, but it sure does help me get my job done alot more efficiently. Reading opponents situationally is one thing, but having a perfect memory sitting there in front of you on the screen at all times is indespensable.

You can still play poker and be great without one- you won't come to necessarily rely on it. It's a great tool that should be used liberally.

Not critical if you use GT+ and make good notes.
PT + some sort of HUD is pretty critical though - unless you are playing vs a small field of regs you can note up fast..

After learning that a flush beats a straight and getting PT. PAHud is the third most important thing in your poker career. Seriously.

It's impossible to remember everything. Stats from a HUD supplement notes on how villains play hands. Knowing that an opponent has never Check Raised river in a 1000 hand sample may help you decide to valuebet thin on river, for example.

Get it. It's a helpful aid.
