Re: Ozzy87 busted for speeding
[ QUOTE ]
could be wrong, but the impression i got was that he admitted to using that fake ID to get into casinos. big mistake! [/ QUOTE ] You can't really blame OZzy for admitting that he used a fake ID to get into the casinos. He had a bag of 50k and possession of weed. How else are you going to explain where the 50k cash come from in the middle of the night? |

[/ QUOTE ] In most states you can be arrested (as in taken into custody) for any crime or violation (including just basic speeding). Its just that its not worth the time or effort for most cops to do it (nor would it make sense, why clog up overcrowded jails etc. with people who are just going to get a fine anyway). |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] this guy sounds like a piece of [censored] [/ QUOTE ] are u kidding? ozzy is the man [/ QUOTE ] dunno if you heard but HE BROKE THE LAW BRO. [/ QUOTE ] I know...right? How can these people not know that if you BREAK THE LAW BRO, you're a piece of [censored]? How's the weather on Venus? [/ QUOTE ] Perhaps you guys will have a less nonchalant attitude after someone close to you is gunned down by some idiot doing 80 mph on a 35 mph road while stoned. Also, the fact that people in this thread assume this is a race issue is a joke. Equally ridiculous is people saying the moral of the story is to not let cops search your car. No, the moral of the story is don't be stupid and drive like a maniac while high. At some point you have to take responsibility for your actions instead of thinking about ways not to get caught the next time you do the same thing. |

Re: Ozzy87 busted for speeding
In NY you can be arrested and have car impounded for going double the speed limit. Not as difficult to do as you might think, considering that many local highways and service rounds are 30-50 MPH and pretty empty at night.
Ozzy is in fact originally from Staten Island, I believe he left here about a year and a half ago. I have a halfway decent story about one of his first live tournaments ever being held in my kitchen, however telling it might interrupt the ongoing legal brilliance being displayed in this thread. |

Re: Ozzy87 busted for speeding
I don't have much to say about the story, other than that ozzy speeding so recklessly is by far the dumbest thing he did in this story (in part because of cops, but also because doing 80 in a 35 is probably gonna be pretty dangerous)
but generally from the way I've heard it used, the middle east includes pakistan and afghanistan, fwiw (obviously he's still not arab, but it's not a stretch to say he's middle eastern to the two people who were discussing that). I mean, would anyone not count troops in afghanistan as troops in the middle east? from wiki: The Middle East defines a geographical area, but does not have precise defined borders. The most common and highly arbitrary definition includes: Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Many Western definitions of the "Middle East" — in both established reference books and common usage — define the region as "nations in Southwest Asia, from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Egypt." The inclusion of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey is sometimes contentious as they are not Arab states. |

Re: Ozzy87 busted for speeding
I think this whole thread has lost sight of the big picture. He's 19 and doing [censored] that 19 year olds do. He wasn't thinking and he was out enjoying his life. FWIW, I think that having a little weed in you makes you a more cautious driver. Better that than to be twice over the legal limit for alcohol and doing 80 mph.
He had a little weed, some cash (there should be nothing illegal about that), and his brother's ID, and he was speeding. I think the whole thing is pretty pimp and I wish him the best. Having said that, he does need to learn from this because if this becomes routine the consequences will quickly mount on him. Learn [censored] like: put it in the trunk, don't drive 2.5x speed limit while high or riding dirty, and don't consent to searches. Don't know you Ozzy, but much love, respect. |
