I don't really like it, I think a shove is a lot better, but if you make a smaller raise you do it HOPING someone will shove over the top. So, what's the problem?

Because in this pase I've seen a lot of player coming over the top to the initial raiser and often the result was that they took the pot.
I agree with you when you say "just shove": mine was a fancy move.
