Default 20/40 Misc. Preflop Questions

I changed what hands I had, because I think these are closer cutoffs. If you think these situations aren't even close, go ahead and say how far down or up you'd be willing to do the same thing.

1. 6-handed game.
Game has gone short for a few orbits and is half of aggros and half of loose passives.

HJ is unknown and just sat down. BTN seems to know him or how he plays.

BTN is TAGgish and seems to play well. He's cold-called KK preflop twice in SB, once where he to checked it down with his friend(who just left) and once where he played it well postflop by donking both the flop and turn to keep the fish in.

HJ limps, BTN raises, SB folds, Hero 3-bets 66 in BB.

2. Juicy Full-ring
UTG is loose and bad and has been seen bluffing and slowplaying.

UTG+1 is loose and spazzy. Will show strange fits of aggression but hand reads moderately well postflop. Seems somewhat dependent on what regulars it's against. She'll raise second pair on the turn and then check/fold the river. Still payoffs a ton and is one the reasons the game is good.

UTG straddles, UTG+1 3-bets, folds, Hero caps 99 in SB.

Don't like # 1. The odds are too short here.

In # 2, I would probably do the same as you did, and pray for a low flop.

Both are fine.

Hand#1 is closer and I could go either way. If i knew that HJ is folding for 2 more bets often, then its a clear 3 bet because trapping dead money in the pot is just so sweet. Another important aspect is how light button is iso'ing. A lot of live TAGs really have no idea that they should be iso raising with a very wide range and limp behind A7s and Q9s and stuff.

Your equity isnt great though so I could see calling and c/r good flops. Vs unknowns this would be my plan because because both the opponent that will limp in the hj and fold for 2 more, and the tag who will iso a wide range are the exception rather than the rule.

Im 3 betting 88 for sure and 77 a lot too. 66 Im usually just calling.

Hand #2 This isnt really close at all. Easy cap. Id fold 88 and 77 though.

no and yes. I'd 3-bet hand 1 if HJ weren't in the pot.

The main reason that I think 3 betting is ok is because HJ is in the pot. Trapping dead money in the pot is pretty huge.

why would I overlimp A7s otb vs one player? The only way I do this is if UTG limped and I think he is a strong player that might be trapping. Explain plz.

I prefer to wait until the flop in hand 1. I seems 3 betting is more likely to get you OOP in a 3 way bloated pot, since I doubt most people that open limp in the HJ would fold for two more. Although I think you're slightly ahead of the HJ's range(most of that range is overs to your pair), 3 betting is going to make this harder to play IMO.

I like calling and CRing alot of flops.

Hand 2 is a cap I would think, I assume UTG+1's 3 betting range is quite wide, and you'd rather not see the BB play here.
