Default NL25 88 cbet?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $8.10
BB: $35.30
UTG: $38.70
MP: $25.00
Hero (CO): $27.70
BTN: $54.85

Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.00</font>, BTN folds, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($3) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero ...

Against one player I would cbet without a 2nd tought. SB and BB are unknown. I was new at the table. Should I make a cbet in this spot? Is the Ace a scary card for me or for the other players?

Let's hope for the other right!

No serious.. You're in position. I would be betting in this position almost with ATC here.

And it still is a pretty good flop for you. Only 1 overcard to your pair.
