Default Strange prize payout structure on PS

I don't know if there already a post about it, but I did not find it.

PS has a standard 10% payout structure and a 20% and can be found here http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/tour...ize-structure/

But most of tournaments don't use the 10% payout but a 15% payout that not describe anywhere on their website
lot of guaranteed events use 15% payout, sunday million use it too.

The most strange is you can play the 50$ NLHE at 15:00ET, if there are 1001 entrants 151 are payed the winner taking 21,5% of the prizepool
And if you play the same 50$ guaranteed event 2 hours later at 17:00ET for the same number of player only 99 are payed and the winner rake 25% of the prizepool !!!

The 2 tournaments have the same structure starting with 3000 chips.

Personally I prefer the 10% and would like PS remove 20% and this 15% payout structure.

What is your opinion ?

Stars introduced the 15% for the million in an attempt to be able to pay back more people who satellite into the tourney to keep them playing (no different than the PCA paying 180 last year with 950 entrants). The structure itself remains so ridiculously top heavy that anything below a top 6 finish remains fairly weak.

The ideal structure, imo, is the 10% structure with the 10-13 and 14-18 divisions they have for the 20% structure. Overall, payout structure is one of the few areas where Tilt still crushes stars.

The most fair approach would be to split the entire prize pool among all of the players in the tournament.

One nice prize structure was this year WSOP main event
10% reward
minimum cashing was 2 times buy-in
1% of the field get as minimum 15 buy-in
