Default 100NL very basic KK OOP

No reads or stats. I felt like I played this poorly.

Bet more on the flop? Bet more on the turn? check the turn? Check the river? Check call the river?

I don't see anything wrong with this. Sometimes I would c/c the river, but shoving is ok too.

Id bet 17 on the flop and then 50 into the turn pot of 53 - but its not a huge difference.

River id normally check/call to give a missed flush or straight draw the chance to bluff but shoving is probably better given potsize and the fact that any funky J he has needs to call but would check through for a free showdown.

Obviously it sucks if he has AsQs or something like that, but meh.

problem is that there arent too many jacks left that i beat. KJ, QJ, JT i still beat. AJ beats me. AJ was the one hand that I might have gotten value out of on the river if the A hadnt come.

The more I think about it the more I think that c/c might be right for the river.

Bet a little more on the turn, river is fine considering his stacksize. He's not gonna bet worse with < 1/3rd pot left, but he might call with worse.

Results aside, getting 3:1 id expect every jack who called to the river to call a shove on the river. In this case he almost certainly had a flush or straight draw - the question is whether they would bluff if checked to, and given the size of the pot they shouldnt since if you had Jx and bet two streets of value you have to call.

Whether they think that deeply is another matter of course

Like i say, normally i check call a river like this to give the missed draws a (false) shot at bluffing it off of me. But when the pot gets this big i usually just stick it in.

[/ QUOTE ]This is exactly what I thought. If you check and he can hand read in the least he knows you have KK/QQ the majority of the time and also knows you won't fold them to a 1/2 pot bet on the river.

I like the ruen. I don't see a reason for you to go more than 2/3 pot there.
