IMO, when a solid player in the BB leads the flop here, he's rarely folding to a raise.

IMO, when a solid player in the BB leads the flop here, he's rarely folding to a raise.

actually, that's very true as well.

but then that means if villain bets the turn, we're dumping our hand, because almost any turn card is bad, and we still have no idea where we are. and if that's the case, we shouldn't even be calling the flop bet.

basically, TT is so marginal here that any turn card will scare us, so any turn bet will make us fold.

or you can raise the flop hoping to take it down (which won't happen often), but at least you might be able to buy a free street to showdown.

which is better than? calling and folding, or raising and going to the river.

Yeah if we aren't raising the flop, there shouldn't be a reason for a call since we fold to fold to aggression on the turn since more than half the deck is scary.

Yeah if we aren't raising the flop, there shouldn't be a reason for a call since we fold to fold to aggression on the turn since more than half the deck is scary.

Good point. Isn't that another reason to reraise flop though? We want to see if Villain checks or leads turn.
