Re: 200nl: Double barrel paired board, rvr straight.
meh at shoving. If he has a T, he prob raises whatever you bet anyways, and I'm not convinced he pays off a shove w/ a lone K or J unless he's one to make hero calls and/or retarded.
Bet like 71 to get a call from a 2 pair. |

disagree strongly. he's folding 77-99 and 98. He's never folding a K or a J here ime.

Re: 200nl: Double barrel paired board, rvr straight.
OK thx for the sanity check.
I bet $75 he pushed, I called, he had JJ. By the river I figured he had something like AJ, KJ, QJ, KQ, JT, KT or AT and bet/calling or pushing was mandatory. |

Why did you bet turn? You think hes peeling flop with a lot of PP's here?

Re: 200nl: Double barrel paired board, rvr straight.
IMO, a double barrel in this spot is actually for value. Villain will call the flop with any flush draw and any of the hoards of gutters/straight draws: KQ, 89, Q9, Q8, etc.. He may call with a decent chunk of these on the turn as well. And if he does have a small pair then you have like 13 outs anyhow.

I think of it as part for value and part for FE vs pps. One of the many gray areas in poker. I should have bet more though. |
