HU PLO8 sng Preflop All in Quesion

I'm trying to fine tune my hu sng plo8 game...
I keep running into one spot though where im stumped.

When i raise on the button with A34J or A248 or anything of similar strength, sometimes i get reraised... unless i have AA, ive been just calling the reraise, seing the flop, and then making a decision. Now if the blinds are high, then i obviously push all in.

So several times i have to fold since i miss. and my opponent will bet all in, since it's around the size of the pot and he's committed... i feel like i can outplay most players, and ill play it unless i completely miss the flop but i feel i might be making a mistake.

should i just be re-raising all-in with these hands?
should i just reraise all in w/ A2xx and AAxx?

The only heads up I play is at the end of a SnG or a MTT. In these situations I am reraising with both the hands you described.

I like A2-A4 type hands, but, honestly, for all the money preflop I really want my A2, A3, A4 to have at least 1 face card or a 10 and a face, but, beggars can't be choosers.

I'm putting the money regardless, really. A2-A4 is strong enough for me to push and if I get reraised, most times I'm going to have to call simply because of the amount of the call vs what's currently in the pot.

Of course my style of play is based on putting the maximum amount of pressure on my opponents with any hand I'm going to play. I also have the protection of knowing that if we get the money in and I lose, I'm still going to cash, which is completely different than your situation. Whether that should make a difference or not, I don't know.

That's my take on the situation. Hopefully some of the more predominately heads up players can give you some better tips.

depends on the blind levels. 25/50 you make it 150 to go and get popped pot, and say you have 1500 chips. You're calling quite a big portion of your stack to get to see a flop with a hand that doesn't play that great heads up.. i.e. you're probably going to be a dog to his range.
You've made quite a few of these plays vs me that left me shaking my head going huh? how can he call preflop then fold.

I understand what you are saying about that strategy, and if the blinds are high enough then it takes the difficulty out of the decision. It is the middle levels like you said that can cause me to lose chips b/c im just flat calling reraises.

I guess there is no good answer for me. I don't like re-raising, i don't like the idea of folding, so i guess it's just something i'm going to have to deal with.

I try to play where i can't be put on a hand. I play things the same way, bet the same way, and all that. raising and getting pushed off hands preflop kinda screws that up.

Looks like ill just have to keep calling the flop and seeing what comes. [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]

the good thing about it is that if you are playing a smart player, they take a note of it and if you bet the pot after check folding once or twice, they should take notice.
