if you don't know how he will react to a flop check, don't do it imo

So you think there is nothing to be gained from a flop check? I guess my thinking at the time was that it gives him a chance to bluff later in the hand... but the more I play w/ him today, the more evident it is that he is the biggest station ever - so i guess I was wrong.

i haven't played with villain, but if he calls every three bet, i think betting this flop is simply much better - there's flush draws and even crazy gutters like 56 in his range. against an unpredictable opponent, you don't want to put yourself in the mystery zone where you end up confusing yourself and pounding call. i suspect i'm being a tad results oriented here.

he could have something like Ah9x or Ah7x or 99 still think it is a fold bc of the bet sizing

I think if I checked the flop I'd check this particular turn as well, unless you were planning on betting the turn and river.

As played I think you should probably fold, hard to comment though on these types of hands. Also hard to make an argument for calling.

I would spite call him but that is probably a bad leak.

well put. A lot of the times I would check behind in these spots and force myself to call like 2 pot size bets given my abnormal flop check. pretty big leak that I have minimized. Yet, I am still a huge calling station.
