Don't be a moron, it's good. Ebert gave it 4 stars FWIW.

And all you simpletons who left before the credits were over missed something. Idiots.

I liked the movie. What did people who left before the credits were over miss?

Not much. Just a dark figure walking into a diner, holds a gun up, and when he fires the screen lights up and you see that he's Frank Lucas.

I liked the movie, it's not a classic though, imo. I thought the ending was a little too pat for that, neither epic nor subtle, just sort of there, gets the job done, but fails to leave a lasting impressive. I enjoyed watching the movie immensely, though, and that's what you ask for, really. So at the end of the day it was worth my $9 (except that it was free, being that I watched someone else's bootleg).

I just can't believe how many NYC cops were corrupt. Unreal.

That's the part about it that aggravates me. The fictionalizing of an incredible story to supposedly make it "better" is a Hollywood cancer, and it's especially disappointing from someone with the skill of Ridley Scott. He's far from havimg to be a hack.

Are you saying that the making of the cops corrupt was "hollywoodizing." It was true. An incredible percentage were involved.

No, read that review linked earlier. Some of the stuff about Lucas and the general story were made up. The cops being corrupt stuff was true.
