The House recessed until tomorrow. HB 3186 is dead unless it gets attached to another bill (which is unlikely). Rep. Menendez will have to try again in 2009.

I don't think this is possible in TX. Pretty sure house rules do not allow 2 subject bills.

Though I could be wrong.

Not in this case. Yesterday was the deadline to pass House bills out of the House. House bills that did not pass yesterday are dead. They are no longer eligible for consideration.

yep, looks like a 2 year wait. I'm so [censored] pissed, politicians are too chicken [censored] to take this thing to a vote so that we know where they stand.

Yes. The next regular Legislative session in Texas will start January 2009.
