Straight draws and flush draws have hit the river... He seems to be a decent player so I fear he may raise suspecting a value bet. Is it just standard to bet/fold here? What hand calls me? 2 pair maybe... Thoughts welcome and wanted please :P |

Re: To value bet or not to value bet....
the thing here is, you have the best hand like ALLWAYS. so its not about you only get called by better and fold out everything else. just valuebet.

Re: To value bet or not to value bet....
villian's stack size makes this awkward, but I just feel we lose out on value in the long run if we check behind here.
I don't think the problem is 'what hands call?' as at $100nl you really need to take people to value town as they call with a wide range here. I'd bet $15 and fold to a shove as i think he only shoves a flush. But his range of hands is far wider than a flush that I expect u get looked up by any 6, 77, 88, weak two pairs, aces up, and possibly even weaker. edit: bloody hell, any ace looks you up here too. |

also remember if they have top pair on the flop, they will go all the way with it regardless of how the board changes, from my experience.

but importantly, if you do get check raised, you have to fold. but u get check raised so rarely in this spot that you have to value bet.

Villain won't check a flush or a straight here, you have to bet. Bet/fold 19
